How we work
From first call
to first fire.
Every job — installation, repair, or chimney service — runs the same way. No surprises, nothing starts without your approval, and we don't leave until you've seen it work.
Gas fireplace installation
New install, insert,
or conversion.
Every install runs as a project — not a service call. The design conversation happens in the room, not over the phone, and nothing is ordered until every decision is locked in writing.
01
In-room consultation
We come to the room. Look at the wall, the ceiling height, the existing firebox if there is one, and how you actually use the space. This is where the design direction starts — not on the phone, not from a photo.
02
Design + permit
Brand, model, vent path, surround material, and mantel detail confirmed in writing. We pull the City mechanical and gas piping permits before anything is ordered. Nothing surprises the inspector mid-build.
03
Install
Gas, venting, framing, finish — in sequence, by our own crew. No subcontractor revolving door. Permit inspections are coordinated at the right phase, not squeezed in at the end.
04
Walkthrough
We light it with you, walk the controls, hand off warranty documents, and answer every question. Then we check in after the first cold snap to make sure everything is performing as expected.
Gas fireplace repair
Diagnose first.
Quote second.
We trace the full system before recommending anything. Most repairs are same-visit — we stock common parts on the truck. You get a clear written quote before we touch anything.
01
Diagnose
We test the full ignition chain — pilot assembly, thermocouple or thermopile, IPI module, electrode, gas valve, wiring, and controls. We find the actual failure point, not just the visible symptom.
02
Written estimate
Before we replace anything you get a written quote. No pressure, no 'while we're in there' additions. If we find something unexpected mid-repair, we stop and show you before continuing.
03
Repair
We carry common parts for most brands. The majority of repairs — thermocouple, thermopile, igniter, pilot assembly — are completed same visit. Complex valve or circuit board work is scheduled for a second visit if parts need ordering.
04
Test & confirm
We light the fireplace, check flame quality, test gas pressure, and cycle the controls multiple times before calling it done. You see it working before we pack up.
Chimney cleaning & repair
In, done, clean.
No mess left behind.
Chimney service visits run top to bottom. We protect your home before anything gets swept, document what we find, and walk you through the findings before we leave.
01
Arrive & protect
Drop cloths down, vacuum containment set up, camera gear staged. We don't start sweeping until your floors and furniture are covered. This step takes five minutes and keeps your home clean.
02
Service
Professional brushes and HEPA-filtered vacuums remove all creosote, soot, and debris from top to bottom. For repairs, we assess the full chimney — firebox, liner, crown, mortar joints, flashing, and cap — before writing anything up.
03
Inspect & document
We photograph everything we find and note it clearly. If we see something that needs attention, we show you the photos and explain what it means in plain language — no alarm, no pressure.
04
Report & clean up
You get a verbal walkthrough of findings, a written estimate if repairs are needed, and a spotless home. Nothing starts without your sign-off. If everything's fine, we tell you that too.
Every job, every time
What you can count on.
Written quote before work starts
Nothing begins without your approval. No verbal estimates that balloon, no mid-job surprises added to the invoice.
Our own crew, start to finish
Not a subcontractor marketplace. The tech who diagnoses your fireplace is the tech who fixes it.
Permit-pulled installs
Every gas fireplace installation is permitted, inspected, and code-compliant. You get documentation to hand to the next owner when you sell.
Honest findings, no upsells
If your chimney is clean, we tell you. If something needs attention, we show you the photos and explain what it means. We don't manufacture urgency.
Same-day repair in most cases
We stock common parts on the truck. Most thermocouple, igniter, and pilot assembly repairs are done in one visit.
We check in after the job
For installs, we follow up after the first cold snap. For repairs, you're welcome to call or text with questions after we leave.
